San Martín Square

It constitutes the nucleus of the city of Córdoba. Its location and layout was planned by Lieutenant Governor Lorenzo Suárez de Figueroa in 1577, after four years of the foundation of the city, when he made the first urban layout of the city. The square was established in the center of the city, and in the adjoining blocks the Cabildo and the Cathedral Church were located.
